We are hiring! Audubon is looking for an individual to take on the role of a float position that involves providing clinical and administrative support across various departments within our office assisting with patient care, procedures, and administrative tasks needed:

Here's a more detailed breakdown of what a medical office float job entails:

Core Responsibilities:

• Patient Flow and Support:

• Rooming patients

• Taking vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, etc.)

• Assisting with patient examinations and procedures

• Preparing patients for procedures and treatments

• Administering medications and vaccinations (as permitted by scope of practice)

• Collecting and processing samples

• Maintaining a clean and organized exam room environment

• Clinical Duties:

• Assess patient symptoms via phone triage by listening to the caller concerns, provide appropriate medical advice, and determine the level of care required.

• Refer patients to appropriate healthcare resources, including scheduling appointments or directing them to emergency services.

• Document patient information and interactions accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).

• Follow established triage protocols and guidelines.

• Provide guidance and education to patients on managing their health conditions.

• Manage prescription refill requests and other administrative tasks

• Providing patient education and support

• Flexibility and Adaptability:

• Working in different departments as needed

• Adapting to changing priorities and patient needs

• Being a team player and collaborating with other healthcare professionals

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education and Certification:

• Successful completion of an LPN training program.

• Pass the National Council License Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN).

• Obtain and maintain a valid LPN license in the state where you work.

• Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures

• Proficiency in computer skills and medical software

• Other:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor under pressure

• Ability to work with diverse patient populations


Position is Monday through Friday, requires some half day Saturday rotations and some weekday evenings until 6:00 pm.
