COVID-19 RESPONSE

COVID-19 RESPONSE
Please refer here for all of policies and procedures our practice will be following during these times.

As of March 24th, 2022, Audubon has adopted NYS’s relinquished mask mandate in our private practice office setting. Masks must be worn if experiencing mild cold and/or allergy symptoms in all areas of our facility. Otherwise masking is at the discretion of our staff, providers, patients and their guests.

Coronavirus/COVID-19 is still a concerning matter in our world, and more specifically in Western New York. In order to help stop the spread, and keep our patients healthy, it is important to remind you of our most current office policies and procedures. The health and safety of our patients is our highest priority!

Audubon Women’s Medical Associates will allow ONE (1) ADULT guest back into our office for ALL appointments as of Monday, March 28th, 2022.

One ADULT guest (no children) can attend ALL appointments! Please see our guest policy below for details.

SOCIAL DISTANCING IS REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES DURING YOUR VISIT.

1. All occupants upon arrival to our office will be screened with both electronic temperatures and a COVID-19 screening questionnaire at check-in.

2. PATIENT and GUEST will be required to wear masks/face coverings at all times while in any and all areas of our office if you/or your guest are presenting cold or allergy symptoms.

If you or your guest refuse to adhere to our policies and procedures concerning face masks/face coverings, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment.

3. If you are presenting severe cold or allergy symptoms, please contact our office prior to arriving at your appointment for further advisement.

4. For the protection of you, our patients, and staff, our policy of one guest will be strictly adhered to.

If minors are accompanying you to your appointment, we will ask that your guest and minor(s) return to their vehicle to wait, your guest will not be able to attend the appointment but may FaceTime for your visit.

5. During your prenatal ultrasound your guest will be seated in a designated 6-foot, socially distanced area and asked to remain in that seat with appropriate mask/face coverings at all times.

6. All of our staff have appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment), and will adhere to our policies and procedures.

7. The office is following the recommended procedures for check-in and check-out that fall within social distancing guidelines.

We look forward to seeing you and appreciate your patience and understanding as we adjust to the ever-changing nature of COVID-19 (and its variants), and as we make adjustments to our office protocols to keep everyone’s safety in mind.

Please understand that our policies and procedures will be updated as deemed necessary by CDC or State Mandates.

  • Vaccine Recommendations

Now that the COVID-19 vaccination is available in our area, we have received many questions regarding the process and recommendations. Please refer to this article from The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) regarding the recommendations for pregnant and lactating patients.

ACOG states the vaccine should NOT be withheld from pregnant women or lactating women if they meet current criteria for vaccination.

AUDUBON WOMEN'S MEDICAL ASSOCIATES WILL NOT BE ISSUING COVID-19 VACCINATION EXEMPTION LETTERS TO OUR PATIENTS, THIS INCLUDES ALL GYNECOLOGIC, PREGNANT, AND LACTATING PATIENTS.

PLEASE REFER TO THE AMERICAN COLLEGE OF OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGIC RESOURCES FOR THE MOST CURRENT RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ALL PATIENTS.
